Education & Experience

My education includes a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Pacific University School of Professional Psychology.  I am licensed as a psychologist in Oregon and have a
private practice focused on therapy with adult individuals (ages 18 and older), couples, and groups. I hold a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from the University of Oregon, with an emphasis on Organizational Psychology/Development.
I am also a trained teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion through the Center for Mindfulness Self-Compassion in San Diego, California.

In addition to my private psychotherapy practice, my experience includes more than twenty years as a vocational counselor and organizational coach specializing in employment-related communication skills. I am a trained teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) and integrate the skills and perspectives of MSC as part of my work with clients.

"When we open to pain in a compassionate way, there is a feeling of freedom - of nonresistance,
non contraction - and a deep sense of connection to others - of expanding beyond ourselves."
